Gallery ILÉ is proud to present THE WISE ELDERS | BY THE RIVER, the first solo exhibition in Amsterdam, by award-winning hyperrealist artist, Eddy Ochieng.

Curated by Joyce Bidouzo, the exhibition brings forth two distinct but deeply connected inquiries into the human countenance and the emotional stories it carries.

Across both series, Ochieng unleashes with masterful precision, a spellbinding gamut of hyperrealist prowess, not as an end in itself, but as a means to slow down the act of perception.

The awe inspiring impact of his canvases beckons the viewer to look beyond alikeness, and acknowledge pure presence, a distinction that remains fundamental to the practice of this artist.
