Gallery ILÉ is delighted to announce that the Beninese visual artist Nathanaël Vodouhè has been selected to join the prestigious Art Club of The European Medicines Agency.

The selection was officially unveiled Tuesday 16 December 2025, in presence of Mr. Franck Diafouka, Head of Internal Audit and several members of EMA’s welcoming committee.

Taking centre stage underneath the 81 meters high atrium, 4 of Vodouhè’s iconic sculptures are now adorning the main entrance hall, where they are greeting EMA’s 1500 staff members, as well as the esteemed organisation’s extensive network of associates and accredited visitors.

The following works are exhibited:
• Sovereignty | • Grace | • Cosmogenesis | • The Oracle
Each fine art sculpture is hand carved from singular blocks of African Kosso or Eucalyptus wood, in varying shapes and dimensions.
After carving out the sculptures, Vodouhè burns them in a pit fire, as well as with a blow torch, before ultimately coating them with a compound formulated from mixed organic pigments, acrylic and the resin from a Baobab tree otherwise known as epoxy. The bases are forged in stainless steel.
